Los Premios BAFTA son unos prestigiosos galardones de cine que otorga anualmente la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión. Son el equivalente inglés de los Premios Oscar y, en gran medida, sirven para determinar las posibilidades de las películas favoritas o las que estarán nominadas en la premiación norteamericana.
El día de hoy se anunciaron las nominaciones correspondientes a la edición de este año. Películas como ‘Dune’, ‘Don’t Look Up’, ‘Belfast’ y ‘Drive My Car’ se llevaron las principales nominaciones. Lady Gaga recibe su tercera nominación en estos premios, logrando así ser la única actriz en cosechar la nominación a los Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, SAG y BAFTA en esta temporada de galardones. Sin duda un gran logro que ya la posiciona como la gran favorita para los Premios Óscar. Guillermo del Toro obtiene 3 nominaciones para ‘Nightmare Alley’ y Pedro Almodóvar logra lo suyo obteniendo nominación para ‘Madres Paralelas’.
